Sunset Villa is part of the gated and private Blue Fountain Villa Compound atop Union Island’s Mount Olympus, at the Heart of the Grenadines Islands. Surrounded by extensive lush gardens, the villa offers two very large bedrooms, each with king-sized bed, plush seating and ensuite bathroom.  The bedrooms are separated from each other, offering quiet and privacy. It is perfect for 2 to 4 people.

An optional bungalow, connected by a path approximately 25 meters (yards) away expands total capacity to 6 persons.  (Text continues below photos. Click on an image to expand it.)

There are wide verandas and deep eaves on all sides, wide enough for a banquet table and dinner, lunch or breakfast al fresco even during a refreshing tropical shower.

Sunset Villa sits atop a mountain on the meandering divide between two oceans.  Villas Grenadines is the name of the managing business that is always available, in the same compound less than 100 meters (yards) away, should any assistance be needed.

The view to the east includes occasional ships passing upon the Atlantic Ocean. At night, cruise ships out on the dark sea, under a tropical moon, can be an unforgettable “light show.”

The vista to the west is the Caribbean Sea. Portions of the Grenadines Islands archipeligo are clearly visible, particularly Tobago Cay, the nearby ring of islands that was the principal site of photography for The Black Pearl, the first of the Pirates of the Caribbean films.

Longer term guests (7 days or more) are greeted with a prepared, complimentary dinner, plus your first morning’s breakfast (details on Rates page). Day trips and picnics to our local beaches are made easy by a vehicle that is included with your weekly villa rental. The shops in the village, close to the marina, are of high quality and offer excellent groceries, fresh produce, freshly baked breads, wines and cheeses.

The villa is quiet and well-separated from the world at the end of a lightly-traveled concrete surfaced road. Trade breezes are virtually constant at this altitude. If you turn off the air conditioning at night, when all is quiet, the steady beat of the waves on the beach hundreds of feet below will lull you to sleep. Our extensive, lush gardens are popular with hummingbirds, birds and butterflies. There are beautiful open beaches in the area.

Of course, Sunset Villa has a large, totally private swimming pool and deck furniture. In the morning, the only one who can see you are a few passing birds, so wake up by  jumping into the refreshing pool au naturel.
